Trisha Dean has worked in the studio ceramics and education field for the past 30 years. After graduating from the National Art School in 1980 she worked for a number of years as a production thrower honing her skills in the area of wheel forming. Trisha set up Glazeworks in 1996 providing technical advice, workshops and services to individual artists, groups and companies in the areas of restoration, heritage and special projects involving the development of ceramic surfaces.
Trisha has worked as a lecturer and workshop presenter in the tertiary sector since 1985. After completing a Bachelor of Art History and Theory in 2000 the University of Sydney she took up the editorship of the Journal of Australian Ceramics.
Publications
Trisha was the editor of the journal of Australian Ceramics 2000-2005. She was responsible for sourcing articles from writers, curators and practitioners throughout Australia. She oversaw the production and distribution of the journal nationally and internationally.
